April Board Meeting

The Seminole Chiefs are not immune to the effects of COVID-19. On 07 April 2020, we conducted a virtual meeting to discuss the future of our organization and develop strategies to hurdle the COVID-19 challenges. We will continue to operate with the mentality that we will be serving the Seminole community until the County tells us "No." We have sent our football helmets to get refurbished and tested in preparation for the upcoming season. We have continued to stay in contact with our new uniform distributor, who is also trying to overcome new challenges in the face of this pandemic. We have approved M. Gulley to lead our Varsity Flyweights. Prior to the viral outbreak, our Cheerleaders were honored with ANOTHER National Trophy. Most of our fundraising events that were scheduled were subsequently canceled, however, we have started a number of unique tactics to achieve our fiscal needs to best serve our Seminole community. We are taking a different, more unified, approach to the end-of-year celebration. We have reserved a venue, and will hold a banquet with all the teams within the Seminole family on 13 November 2020. We are also excited to announce that we will now offer discounts to players that are returning to Seminole from the year prior. Lastly, we are in the process of holding a "graduation" for all the 5th and 8th graders in the Seminole area who were unable to attend due to COVID-19. The 2020 year has had a grim beginning, but the Seminole Chiefs are dedicated to having a cheerful and exhilarating season and rewrite the current climate of our community members. Strong Alone, Unstoppable Together. Go Chiefs!
